Terry Thirion's series of images of hope, despair, community
and alienation in Jerusalem and Bethlehem were dramatically illustrated
in the theater production, Neighbors. Written and directed by Burton
Wolfe, the world premier of Neighbors was performed at The Players
Theater in Sarasota, Florida, April 1-10, 2005. The paintings were digitally
projected lifesize to open each new scene in the play.Terry created the
images - oils, pastels and acrylics - during a 2004 visit to the area. On
her return, Terry stated, "Peace will come only when enough people
commit themselves to it. These images are part of my own commitment to peace."
The Peace series by Terry Thirion and the use of the art in the new theater
production were featured in the April 2005 edition of Today's Charlotte Woman magazine.
